Compass International School Doha, an English speaking school, opened its doors to its first pupils on 24th September, 2006.
The school is part of the WCLS Group (World Class Learning Schools), who own and operate numerous schools in the USA and around the world providing high quality learning to children of over 50 nationalities. The school follows the IPC (International Primary Curriculum). The IPC places emphasis on helping children achieve their academic potential through the study of the subjects of the curriculum which have an international flavour. The IPC is taught in nearly 300 schools worldwide. Our partner company, Fieldwork Education, manages many Corporate and individual International schools throughout the world.
Compass International School is the first (and currently only) school in Doha to deliver Dutch lessons for Dutch and Dutch speaking children as part of the curriculum. The non-Dutch speaking children attend French lessons during this time.
Currently the school caters for children aged from 4 to 12 years of age, but plans are in place to extend the age range to be from 4 to 18 years of age. The school is currently based in a converted palace but a purpose built school is presently being planned.         

Park House English School is an independent co-educational, private day school situated in Doha, the capital of the State of Qatar.  Founded in 1994 by Mrs. Heather Brennan and with a current enrolment of 900 pupils spanning 50+ nationalities, the school provides an education in English which broadly follows the National Curriculum for England and Wales complemented by the International Primary Curriculum (I.P.C.).

The school is divided into Early Years (Nursery and Reception), Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2), Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5, and 6) and Secondary (Years 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,12), leading up to IGCSE examinations. The Sixth Form opened in September 2007 and offers AS and A Level options.

In September 2005 the school relocated to a new and spacious site, with excellent purpose built classrooms.  The sport facilities include an indoor sports hall, 25m swimming pool, a football pitch and a multi-purpose court.  There is also a large auditorium, two libraries, modern ICT suites and excellent science facilities.  A new Art and Music Block is being constructed.

Park House English School aims to provide an excellent all round education for each child in a kind and caring environment.  A wide range of academic and extra curricular activities are offered to the children to allow them to develop fully, to build self confidence and self-esteem and to respect others.  The children enjoy a variety of sports throughout the year and there is a strong emphasis on music and drama.

We aim to enable all our pupils to make the most of their abilities. Through excellent teaching and a positive approach to learning, we encourage our pupils to aim high, and also to enjoy their studies.  Throughout the school a high standard of discipline and dress is expected, and there is great emphasis on moral training. We aim to provide a happy, healthy educational establishment

Great emphasis is laid upon close consultation with parents throughout the pupils' time in the school. The Heads of the Secondary and Primary Departments and Form Teachers are always happy to be consulted.

PreSchool

Age 2 ½ to 4 years. Pre School offers a gentle introduction to school.

Primary

Age 4 to 11 years. The Primary school follows the British National Curriculum. All class teachers are UK qualified. We offer specialist teaching of French, Music, Arabic and Computer Studies.

Secondary

Age 11 to 17 years. The Secondary school prepares children for the internationally recognised IGCSE and A/S level examinations, administered by the University of Cambridge.

Qatar International School is located on United Nations Street in West bay. Our facilities include a Multi-purpose Sports Hall, Swimming Pool, 3IT Suites, Grass Football Pitch, Tennis Court, Basketball & Netball Courts as well as 6 teaching blocks and a separate pre-school building.
